?️ Fun Unwind: Haleakala National Park Hosts Events ?
Haleakala National Park will have plenty of activities ? for National Park Week from April 22-30, they announced Monday. Events will take place at the summit and in Kipahulu.
? Earth Day on April 22 will start with a volunteer clean-up event from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at the Haleakala Visitor Center at the 9,740-foot elevation level. Rangers will also lead a program about protecting the planet at 2 p.m. at Hosmer Grove. Entrance will be free that day, but sunrise reservations are still required at recreation.gov to enter the Summit District from 3 to 7 a.m. ?
? Rangers will lead hikes, including a guided walk through Hosmer Grove in the Summit District to see rare forest birds and learn about native Hawaiian plants ? daily at 10 a.m. from April 22-30. Another guided hike will be offered at Kuloa Point Walk in the Kipahulu District to learn about the cultural importance of Oheo Gulch at 2 p.m. daily from April 24-26. ?♂️
