Da police guys wen tell us dat one 26-year-old braddah wen driving his car eastbound on Kalanianaole Highway. Just den, one adult male bicyclist wen try fo’ cross da highway in one marked crosswalk. But da ting is, da crosswalk sign wen say “Do Not Walk.” ??
Da collision was real bad. Da emergency guys had fo’ take da bicyclist to da hospital in critical condition. But da poor guy couldn’t make it, and he wen mahke from his injuries. ??
Da police guys wen say dat speed, drugs, or alcohol no look like they wen contribute to dis collision. All clean dat way. ??

Tragic news arrived from Hawaii Kai on a Friday night. A bicyclist has died after being hit by a vehicle, confirmed by Honolulu police.
The incident occurred around 8:10 p.m. on Kalanianaole Highway. ??
The police reported that a 26-year-old male driver was heading eastbound on Kalanianaole Highway. Suddenly, an adult male bicyclist attempted to cross the highway in a marked crosswalk. Unfortunately, the crosswalk sign was indicating “Do Not Walk.” ??
The collision was severe. Emergency services transported the bicyclist to the hospital in critical condition. Regrettably, the man didn’t survive and later succumbed to his injuries. ??
The police stated that speed, drugs, or alcohol do not appear to have contributed to this collision. All of these factors seem to be in the clear. ??
This incident marks the 26th traffic fatality on Oahu this year. Last year, around the same time, there were only 18. Everyone, please stay safe. ??♂️
