Eh, bruddahs and sistahs! Get ready fo’ some spaceman action coming to our own backyard! Da Elon Musk Starship stay planning fo’ land near our sweet Kaua‘i island between April 12 an’ April 17. ?
SpaceX get dis big plan fo’ make da Starships carry peepo an’ stuff to da moon, Mars, an’ even mo’ far places. Da first stage of da big reusable rocket, da SuperHeavy, going splash down in da Pacific Ocean, jus’ lil’ bit away from us. ??
Las’ month, da big kahuna of SpaceX, Elon Musk, wen’ talk story ’bout how da flight goin’ start in Texas an’ might take off around da middle of April. But den, da date wen’ change an’ move forward small kine. ⏭️
Da action stay all set in Texas, but ova hea on Kaua‘i, we no so shua yet. We hear NASA stay ready fo’ use one high-altitude WB-57 plane fo’ watch da test flight up in da sky. ?️
Da Starship, it supposed fo’ be da lunar lander fo’ bring peepo to da moon on top da future Artemis mission. Da test flight goin’ fly ’round da world one time, den zoom in on Kaua‘i fo’ land. ?
Afta’ da launch from Texas, da big 400-foot tall Ship24 going circle da Earth one time befo’ splashin’ down in da Pacific ’bout 60 miles north of our Kaua‘i island. Elon Musk wen’ say he t’ink get ’bout 50% chance fo’ success on dis first try. He wen’ say, “So I t’ink we get, hopefully, ’bout 80% chance fo’ reach orbit dis year.” ?
Da boat peepo around Kaua‘i gettin’ da word fo’ watch out an’ stay away from da area wen’ da rocket goin’ launch. ⚠️
So, wat’z Starship, yeah? ?
Da company dat make ’em, SpaceX, say, “Da Starship spacecraft an’ Super Heavy rocket – togedda we call ’em Starship – stay one fully reusable transportation system fo’ take crew an’ cargo to Earth orbit, da Moon, Mars an’ even mo’ far. Starship goin’ be da world’s most powerful launch vehicle eva’ made, can carry up to 150 metric tonnes wen’ reusable an’ 250 metric tonnes wen’ expendable.” ?
Dis one big t’ing fo’ all us guys hea on Kaua‘i, so stay tuned fo’ see wat’z going happen wit’ da Starship! ?

? Elon Musk’s Starship May Land Near Kaua‘i This Month ??
Exciting news, everyone! Elon Musk’s Starship is planning to land near our beautiful island of Kaua‘i sometime between April 12 and April 17. ?
SpaceX has ambitious plans for their Starships to carry people and cargo to the moon, Mars, and beyond. The first stage of this massive reusable rocket, called SuperHeavy, will splash down in the Pacific Ocean not too far from us. ??
Last month, SpaceX CEO Elon Musk mentioned that the flight, originating in Texas, could launch around mid-April. However, the date has since been moved forward. ⏭️
Preparations are underway in Texas, but it’s unclear how things are progressing on Kaua‘i. NASA is reportedly ready to use a high-altitude WB-57 aircraft to observe the test flight. ?️
The Starship vehicle is intended to be the lunar lander for future moon-bound Artemis missions. The test flight will circle the globe before approaching Kaua‘i. ?
Upon launch from Texas, the nearly 400-foot-tall Ship24 vehicle will orbit the Earth once before its intended splashdown in the Pacific about 60 miles north of Kaua‘i. Elon Musk has said that he believes there is a 50% success rate for this first attempt, adding, “So I think we’ve got, hopefully, about an 80% chance of reaching orbit this year.” ?
Mariners off Kaua‘i are being notified to avoid the area during the period of the possible rocket launch. ⚠️
What is Starship? ?
According to the manufacturer, “SpaceX’s Starship spacecraft and Super Heavy rocket – collectively called Starship – represent a fully reusable transportation system designed to carry crew and cargo to Earth orbit, the Moon, Mars, and beyond. Starship will be the world’s most powerful launch vehicle ever developed, capable of carrying up to 150 metric tonnes when fully reusable and 250 metric tonnes when expendable.” ?
This is a significant event for everyone here on Kaua‘i, so stay tuned to see what happens with the Starship! ?
